Hot head lures are absolutely fantastic streamer patterns - they're some of the most effective and eye-catching lures you can have for targeting larger, more aggressive trout!
Hot head lures are streamer/lure patterns featuring brightly colored "hot" bead heads - typically in fluorescent or bright colors like orange, chartreuse, pink, or red. These combine the attraction of bright colors with the action of larger lure patterns.
Key Characteristics:
  • Bright Bead Heads: Fluorescent orange, chartreuse, pink, red, or other "hot" colors
  • Larger Profile: Bigger than nymphs - designed to imitate baitfish or large prey
  • Mobile Materials: Often feature marabou, rabbit strips, or synthetic materials for movement
