Mayfly Packs

Mayflies of course are used generally through May and June, the rivers become alive with mating rituals and females laying their eggs then becoming "spent" on the water where trout go mad feeding on them. Beginning life as a nymph you will often see them quite early in the season as they make a few false starts, a creamy coloured nymph they hatch quite quickly.
Mayfly patterns include the drakes, wulff, humpies and of course spent mayflies.
