These little gold head buzzers are best fished with a sight indicator of a size that will not be pulled under by the fly. Vary depth according to feeding depth of fish but we generally start at about 4' and if no takes come we try different depths to about 10'. We prefer calm conditions but rarely get them and we generally fish static or let the breeze just move the gold headed buzzers. However many anglers have great success by always retrieving steadily using the figure-of-eight method. Watch the indicator like a hawk as takes are often lightning fast on these bead head buzzer flies, as are rejections when they feel the hard bead.
