The Appetiser lure is an effective fly pattern used as a fry imitation. It can be used all year round but is best used when fry are abundant in the months of October and November. Fish it the same as you would a normal lure on any line using any type of retrieve. Beware though, takes can be aggressive and make sure you have a very strong tippet to prevent snapping off.
