Today I\u2019m on a mission
\nNot an easy one at that
\nFor I aim to catch the biggest fish
\nAnd reign supreme at last<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve been to see my dealer
\nBought the recipe to succeed
\nIt\u2019 cost me next years wages
\nBut things he said I\u2019d need<\/p>\n
The day is overcast and ripe
\nJust like I\u2019m told \u201cyou\u2019ll need\u201d
\nIts perfect conditions by the book
\nDepending on which one you read<\/p>\n
I make my way down to the bank
\nAnd glance around for prey
\nThey show off jumping large as life
\nToday will be my day<\/p>\n
For I am armed, You stand no chance
\nSurrender forthwith ye fish
\nPrepare to be conquered
\nAnd served tonight by dish<\/p>\n
I search among my precious flies
\nAnd choose the one that will
\nCatch my prize, my personal trophy
\nI prepare him for the kill<\/p>\n
Out he goes, the perfect angle
\nFilled with known elation
\nThis lunch supreme, so fake and rich
\nMy breath is held in anticipation<\/p>\n
What has gone wrong? My fly comes back
\nEaten only by the weeds
\nI need to choose again.. of course
\nThis fish has greater needs<\/p>\n
I rummage through my box of tricks
\nAnd pick my secret tool
\nThe one that \u201cfly fish weekly\u201d
\nRecommend will always fool<\/p>\n
Suddenly there is a splash
\nI watch with total glee
\nAs tonights dinner flaunts its stuff
\nAnd dances in front of me<\/p>\n
Ahaaa you fool, I\u2019m here for you
\nDon\u2019t stand so proud just yet
\nMy Mission has just begun
\nAnd it\u2019s you I aim to get<\/p>\n
Out goes my line, Ohh boy its long
\nYour reign my friend has past
\nThis will not fail.. I guarantee,
\nI\u2019m sure this is the cast<\/p>\n
But once again this stupid fish
\nHas failed to take my offing
\nIt takes another leap in jest
\nBy god I believe it\u2019s scoffing<\/p>\n
Out goes the bait for one last try
\nBut alas my feelings alter
\nFor I know I have just encountered
\nThe supreme king of the water<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve tried to take him from his home
\nHe can laugh at me with rapture
