WET TROUT FLIES
<U><B>WET TROUT FLIES</B></U>

Wet Trout flies resemble an insect under the water surface. They can imitate dead flies or aquatic insects or even an emergeing insect. Wet Flies are generally tied with a soft pulled back hackle. Best fished perhaps in slow pools or large rivers, the figure of eight retrieve is commanly used with wet flies. There are many different patterns available the traditional favorites are still the best sellers. Fishing with wet flies is popular using droppers offering more than 2 wet flies at once. This can be done using ready made fly casts which incorporate 2 droppers, or by making your own. There is no limit to the amount of wet flies you can fish at anyone time, however it is quite easy to get them tangled if you use too many. This fly fishing method can be useful if you try different variety of wet flies at once then see which the trout are taking.
