The Goldhead montana is an all year round fishing fly, will catch on all waters, a great fishing fly for beginners to gain confidence

Traditional Montana
This is another of my 'go to' flies when ringing the changes to try and persuade the fish to join in the sport. G/H allows you to search various depths as you vary sink time. It works all year round, but seems to be more effective in the Autumn/Winter months, when black, as far as I've experienced, seems to be more productive than any other colour.
