Traditional Cats whisker

This particular fly pattern, plus some variants in different colours has probably accounted for 30% of the fish I've ever taken. It works all year round, and with the gold head allows the various depths to be fished, depending on how long you let it sink, and the speed of retrieve. Usually quite fast in summer, but much slower in the colder months!
